Firecracker Chicken Thighs

Hello guys! A new delicious dinner recipe for you today, Firecracker Chicken Thighs. Sticky, Sweet and Spicy. A recipe you are going to fall in love with!

Any type of chicken can be used in this recipe, I just LOVE a boneless chicken thigh. Feel free to also add in some veg like onions, peppers ect. This recipe serves 2 people but can be doubled to what you need.

Equipment

  • Chopping board
  • Knife
  • Frying pan
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 400 grams Boneless Chicken Thighs Approx 6 Thighs
  • 100 grams Cornflour
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 15 grams Salted Butter
  • 3 cloves Crushed Garlic
  • 1 tsp Grated Ginger
  • 60 grams Hot sauce
  • 10 grams Rice wine vinegar Or white vinegar
  • 15 grams Soy sauce
  • 25 grams Ketchup
  • 100 grams Light Brown Sugar
  • Cooked rice to serve Optional

Instructions

  • Place a large frying pan on a medium heat with some frying oil.
  • Season your chicken thighs with salt and pepper then dip them in a light coating of cornflour.
  • Fry your coated chicken thighs for a few minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, mix in your butter to de-glaze.
  • Add in your garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
  • Pour in your hot sauce, ketchup, soy, vinegar and brown sugar. Mix and cook until simmering.
  • Add your chicken back into the pan with your sauce to warm up, coat your chicken in the sauce while heating.
  • Serve you chicken over rice and top with some extra chillis or spring onion if you wish. Enjoy.
