  • 8×8 Tin
  • Baking paper
  • Bowls
  • Spatula
  • Medium pot

  • 170 grams Unsalted Butter
  • 120 grams Light Brown Sugar
  • 40 grams Any Nut butter (I used Hazelnut)
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon (Optional)
  • 250 grams Oats
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 50 grams Golden syrup
  • 50 grams Hazelnuts (Finely chopped)

  • 200 grams Dark Chocolate
  • 100 grams Nutella
  • 50 grams Hazelnuts (Finely chopped)

  • 50 grams Dark Chocolate (Optional)

  • Grease and line an 8×8 square tin with baking paper.
  • Place your butter, sugar, nut butter, golden syrup and vanilla into a large pot. Put on a medium heat and melt till smooth.
  • Add in your oats, cinnamon and hazelnuts and fold till all incorporated.
  • Place half of your oat mix into your tin, press your mix in tight making sure it is nice and flat.
  • Melt your chocolate and nutella in the microwave in short blasts till smooth, stir in your chopped hazelnuts.
  • Pour this over your oat mix, smooth out.
  • Sprinkle the rest of your oat mix on top of the chocolate layer. You can slightly press this into the chocolate to make sure it sticks.
  • Set in the fridge until firm. About 1 hour.
  • Portion into how many bars you like. You can make 8 large slices or 16 regular.
  • Enjoy!

  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • These can be made with any flavour nut you like, or no nuts at all! Peanut or pecan  nuts would be a lovely substitute.
  • Golden syrup can be replaced with honey.
  • You can replace the dark chocolate with milk chocolate.
  • If your not a fan of cinnamon you can leave it out.
  • The Nutella isn’t essential, you can just do a chocolate filling.
  • These oat bars can be made without a chocolate filling, just press all the oat mix straight into your tin then leave to set. You could even just do a small drizzle of chocolate on top.
  • My 8×8 square tin is out of stock but this is a great sub*- 8 Inch Square Cake Pan
  • I use these heat proof spatulas*-  High-Heat Silicone Spatula
  • I use these piping bags*- 100 Pcs Piping Bags
