Cadbury’s Boost Rice Krispie Squares

Hello everyone! Another one of my favourite recipes to create, Cadburys Boost Rice Krispie squares!! Previously known as moro bars. My favourite bar when I was a child. I just had to create a recipe using these. I love the smooth biscuit filling in these bars. Wrapped in gooey caramel and cadburys chocolate. These bars are insanely good!

This is a very simple and straightforward recipe. I wanted to incorporate marshmallow into the Krispie base so they are nicely soft and gooey. The base is marshmallow, butter and cadburys chocolate with boost bars chopped up and folded throughout. Topped with more cadburys chocolate and chopped up boost bars.

I just love the pockets of creamy biscuit filling you get in these krispie squares! So tasty!

I have a video tutorial save to my Instagram highlights if you would like to check that out while baking along. http://www.instagram.com/gills_bakesandcakes

Cadbury’s Boost Rice Krispie Squares

Prep time: 20 minutes

Chill time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Servings: 9-18 depending on how you cut them.(I made 9 GIANT squares)

Ingredients

  • 165g Butter
  • 200g Marshmallows
  • 200g Rice krispies
  • 300g Cadbury Milk chocolate
  • 250g Cadburys boost bars (Chopped)
  • Decoration (Optional)
    • 300g Cadbury Milk chocolate
    • 150g Cadbury Boost Bars
    • 1 Bag of mini Boost Bars
    • Sprinkle of Rice Krispies

Directions

  1. Weigh out all of your ingredients and line your 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a double boiler melt your butter and cadburys chocolate.
  3. While this is melting, chop up your boost bars.
  4. Once the butter and chocolate is nearly melted, add in your marshmallow.
  5. Keep mixing until you have a thick and smooth mixture. This will take about 10 minutes. Don’t worry if it looks split, just keep mixing.
  6. Take off the heat and quickly mix in your Rice Krispies until fully incorporated. Work fast as they set up quite quickly. I put on a glove and used my hands towards the end to make sure all was incorporated.
  7. Fold in your chopped boost bars.
  8. Place mixture into your baking tin and flatten down with a spatula.
  9. Leave to set for 15 minutes in the fridge.
  10. Melt your cadburys chocolate and pour over Rice Krispie mix. Smooth out evenly.
  11. Decorate with chopped up boost bars and a sprinkle of Rice Krispies.
  12. Set in the fridge for about 1 hour until firm.
  13. Cut into portions with a hot knife.
  14. Enjoy!!
